My Daughter: “Oh, that’s good!” What she meant was so buttery, flaky and yummy.
Ingredients:
- 2 c all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c butter, softened
- 1/2 c powdered sugar
Directions:
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Beat butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (3-4 minutes).
- Add flour mixture, beat at low speed just until the dough starts to come together.
- Place a piece of plastic wrap on the countertop and turn the dough out onto the plastic wrap.
- Squeeze the dough to shape it into a disk. Wrap tightly with the plastic wrap and place in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out the dough to about 1/2″ thickness.
- Cut the dough into rectangles and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for about 18 minutes until just starting to brown at the edges.
